The North Face Jackets Review

You guys seemed to really like our review on the Under Armour ColdGear Reactor and asked us if The North Face has a comparable jacket. Well as luck would have it we have also been working on reviewing The North Face’s Endeavor Thermoball Jacket for Women and the Trevail Jacket for Men. Just like before the GYMCADDY Team tested these North Face jackets on our weekly hike in Up State New York. This is GYMCADDY’s review on The North Face’s Thermoball Jackets for Women and the Trevail Jackets for Men. As always we will provide links to buy these products from a trusted online store.

The North Face Endeavor Thermoball Jacket for Women

First lets talk about The North Face Endeavor Thermoball Jackets for Women. At $160 over at Finish Line, this jacket is more affordable than the Under Armour Reactor which starts at $200. For the $40 dollar savings you do sacrifice some water and wind resistance. This Jacket IS water and wind resistant, but not as much as Under Armour’s offering. The Thermoball does feature a much more stylizeddesign by combining fleece sleeves with polyester front and back panels with a very feminine cut that looks great anywhere. If you’re looking for a great jacket but don't want to drop $200 on the UA Reactor, this is an amazing alternative.

The North Face Trevail Jacket for Men

Next up is The North Face Trevail Jackets for Men. This jacket starts at $220 over at finish line and shares some of the same features found on the UA Reactor. For starters both jackets are water and wind resistant to some extent. They aren't as resistant as the Reactor, but they will still get the job done. These North Face Jackets are designed to keep your core warm at all costs. Thanks to the fleece sleeves these jackets offer much more range of motion than other jackets on the market. For people who like to go hiking and have to crawl over the occasional boulder and fallen over trees this jacket is a god send. Just like the Reactor, the Thermoball is also filled with synthetic materials that are designed to be light weight, keep you warm, and wick away at sweat. The Trevail on the other hand is filled with goose-down.

We did find that these jackets run a little small because they are going for the athletic cut. If you're a person with a well developed back or broad shoulders you will surly want to go a size up. Since these jackets have fleece sleeves you wont have to worry about your pythons being to snug. We actually are quite fond of the fleece sleeves cause they make your arms look great. Looks aside, these jackets also have robust double stitching in areas that are prone to undoing like at the hem, and underarms. Since these jackets have a synthetic filling we recommend you get them dry cleaned just to be safe. Over all, the materials used are superb and the stitching gives us the piece of mind that both these winter jackets will last you a few winters.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a jacket thats more focused on giving you complete range of motion then The North Face Endeavor Thermoball, and Trevail Jackets are great considerations. The fleece sleeves guarantee you will be able to move your arms freely if you have to climb and the padded shells will make sure to keep your core warm. The light weight design of the jacket also make them a great jacket for marathon runs in the blistering cold. Like we mentioned these jackets are water and wind resistant to some extent. The GYMCADDY Team is comfortable recommending these products to anyone concerned about mobility in a jacket.
