Jabra Elite 75T's Review
The Jabra Elite 75T’s are an overall great pair of truly wireless earbuds. If you’re an android user I think these are the earbuds to get and even if youre and iPhone user I think these would be a good step up from the $160 AirPods depending on what you’re looking for. Although they’re not perfect and I do have some criticisms I really like to see all of the improvements Jabra made from the Elite 65T’s.
Now regarding price, when Jabra first announced the Elite 75T’s they said that they would be retailing for $200. But now that they’re finally here Jabra has officially changed the retail price of these earbuds to $180, the same as the 65T’s when they first released. Which I think is cool on Jarba’s part. So I you want to pick these earbuds up they’ll be linked down below.
Now first lets address the carrying case cause for me whenever im looking into a pair of everyday carry truly wireless earbuds their carrying case is a very big deal. The 75T’s carrying case is noticeably smaller than the 65T’s carrying case. Its still a little bigger than the AirPods and AirPods Pro carrying case but non the less its significantly smaller than the Echo Buds’s carrying case so when ever you have this carrying case in your pocket its not too noticeable, which is good. But the 75T’s carrying case has some very important usability improvements over the 65T’s case. First off the 75T’s case is much easier to open up this time around… cause for comparison one of my biggest pet peeves about the 65T’s is just how hard it is to open their lid. But also, the 75T’s earbuds now magnetically align themselves to their case which means you’re going to have less of a risk of dropping your earbuds when you’re taking them out or putting them back into case. Now this might seems like its not a big deal but its one of those things you miss when you don’t have it anymore.
But finally, the last major upgrade on the 75T’s case is that they now charge via a USB C port. So if you’re an android user you can charge your earbuds and phone with the same cable like iPhone users can with their AirPods. And over all the battery life on these earbuds is super impressive. The 75T’s have an advertised combined battery life of 28 hours. The earbuds themselves can go for 7 and a half straight hours and the case can supply an additional 3 charges.
And for me, ive been using these earbuds as my daily drivers for the last week and its been a challenge to fully drain them. Which is cool. Now the reason why the battery life on these earbuds is super impressive is cause their case is just so small. Most other truly wireless earbuds like lets say galaxy buds or jaybird vista have a battery life of 15 hours so. Thats what’s average these days. But since the Elite 75T’s are giving you almost double the battery life in the same package thats what’s so impressive. And battery life is the main reason why I would go with the Elite 75T’s over the $130 Galaxy buds.
But now lets talk about fit. Obviously these ear buds are in ear ear buds… and they go in fairly deep into your ear canals. They’re not like AirPods Pro where they just rest right out side of ear canal but they’re also not like the Sony WF-1000XM3’s where they go in super deep. These are right in the middle. Over all, these earbuds fit very well and since they’re just so small and light weight I didn’t even find myself needing ear fins. And from a design stand point I think the earbud look and feel way better than the 65T’s.
Regarding bluetooth connectivity, over all its solid but there are somethings I want to point out. These earbuds are still using a hero and side kick set up which is usually associated with older or cheaper truly wireless earbuds these days. Where as most recently released premium truly wireless earbuds now each establish a connection with your phone. So if you want to use one earbud a time you can use either one. But with the Elite 75T’s if you just want to use one earbud a time you have to use the hero earbud. In this case the right earbud.
But performance wise these earbuds don’t have any syncing or dropping out issues. If you’re an iPhone user these earbuds have zero latency across the board when watching videos on your phone… But I did notice a slight latency when watching YouTube videos on my pixel 4 XL. But if I turned off AAC then that latency would go away. But for everything else the Elite 75T’s had zero latency on my pixel 4 whether AAC as turned on or off. So maybe this is just a software issue.
But another thing that I do want to point out about these earbuds is that they can be simultaneously paired to 2 devices at the same time. So if you’re a power user this is a pretty big deal. You can hot swap from your phone to your computer like with AirPods or like with a normal pair of headphones.
Now when it comes to listening to music with these earbuds, they sound great. They have an adjustable EQ so you can make them sound how ever you want but personally I like to bring the mids out a bit cause these earbuds have a lot of bass to them out of the box. But from a performance stand point these earbuds have very clean bass that doesn’t bottom out and there’s a lot of it, their highs don’t get tinny, and they get more than loud enough. If you’re an iPhone user but if you want something with an in ear design that sounds better than airpods, but you don’t want to sacrifice the convenience of having a small carrying case with a long battery life, then the Elite 75T’s are the way to go if you don’t want to get the AirPods Pro.
Another reason why I would get the Elite 75T’s over the $160 AirPods is cause they have an ambient mode. And for the most part the Ambient mode on these earbuds is mostly good. It sound natural but more importantly these earbuds pick up basically zero wind noise when used out doors like the AirPods Pro which is what you want… But there is a faint hissing in the back ground if you have hear through turned up too high. Its not noticeable when listening to music but it is noticeable if you’re watching a movie or listening to a podcast. So for that reason I only keep hear through on my earbuds set to half way.
Now when it comes to the controls buttons on these earbuds they’re very good and you have full control over your multimedia. You can press and hold on either the left or right earbuds to raise or lower your volume, you can double tap on the left earbud to skip a track or triple press to go back a track. You can single press on the left ear bud to turn hear through on or off and you can double press on the right earbud to activate your voice assistant. Over all, I really like the control buttons on these earbuds.
Now when it comes to phone calls on the Elite 75T’s even though they’re using a hero and sidekick set up phone calls still come in through both earbuds which is good. But regarding the microphone on these earbuds… its usable but I can’t help but feel that it sound a little echo. I just wish it did a better job of isolating just my voice.
Where as the microphone on the AirPods sound a little warmer
But definitely the microphone on the Elite 75T’s sounds way better than the microphone on the echo buds.
But over all, the Jabra Elite 75T’s are a great upgrade to the Jabra Elite 65T’s. Jarba really went in and refined the build quality and design on the 75T’s. If you’re Android user these are the earbuds to get if you’re looking for maximum convenience. Even if you’re a galaxy user I would still consider getting these over the Galaxy Buds cause of their super long battery life. Now if you’re an iPhone user I think these are a good step up from AirPods cause of their superior sound, and hear through mode, and for some people better fit. But these aren’t better than the AirPods Pro. But if you’re looking for a more affordable alternative and don’t care for active noise cancellation then the 75T’s are a good option. If youre an iPhone user going with the 75T’s is a real case by case basis… But if you’re an android user you can’t go wrong with these.
