So in this video we’re going to compare the active noise cancelation performance while at cruising altitude on the Bose QC Ultra, and Bose QC, versus the AirPods Max and Beats Studio Pro. Now its very important to point out that these ANC test were taken while at cruising altitude cause the atmospheric pressure change affects the overall ANC performance on these headphones when compared to ground level.
Now if you watched my original video on the Beats Studio Pro… personally I think they’re very over hyped, And even though the AirPods Max sound great and they block out a lot of noise… I think they’re very over hyped as well. And even though I feel that Bose’s headphones have lots of room for improvements… I think they’re great options for traveling cause they block out a lot noise and they’re very comfortable to wear. Nonetheless we’re going to jump into the ANC test.
ANC Test
So first off theres the ANC on the Beats Studio pro… and I feel that these headphones dont block out an adequate amount of noise for a pair of premium ANC headphones. The Beats Studio Pro block out noise like a pair of mid tier ANC headphones. Plainly said, I would not recommend the Beats Studio Pro’s for flying cause they dont block out all that much noise, plus they aren’t super comfortable and they come with a soft shell case. So they could get crushed if you cram them into your back pack or carry on.
But then there are the AirPods Max, and these block out noticeably more noise than both of Bose’s headphones… but the problem with the AirPods Max is that they have a lot of cabin pressure, so they can get uncomfortable after awhile. Plus they’re very heavy and their fabric ear cups can get itchy, making them even more uncomfortable when compared to Bose’s headphones… and again, if you throw these into your backpack or carry on they can get crushed cause they dont have the best case.
Personally I feel that if you’re looking for a pair of headphones to travel with then you’re going to be better off with either of Bose’s headphones over apple’s headphones cause they block out a decent amount og noise but more importantly they’re a lot more comfortable and they come included with a hard shell case.
