So this is the Samsung HW-Q800A soundbar. Now this is a good performing soundbar from Samsung. However, this soundbar is best used with a TV that has Q Symphony support. Now in this video we’re going to be testing this sound bar with a Samsung Q80A 4K LED TV. So this review is going to come from a the perspective of someone who has a matching TV and soundbar. However, depending on your needs or set up… the Q800A’s form factor will might not be for everyone.
So this is the Sony HT-A5000 Atmos soundbar, and it is an absolute unit. Now just like Samsung’s soundbars that have Q-Symphony support… if you were to use the HT-A5000 with a compatible Sony Bravia TV… the soundbar and the built in speakers on the TV are going to work together. But unlike Samsung’s soundbars which are kind of dependent on a Q-Symphony tv… the HT-A5000 can stand all by itself.
So this is the Samsung HW-S60A sound bar which is brand new for 2021. Now if you already have a Samsung TV or are planning on getting a Samsung TV then getting a Samsung sound bar will might make life a little easier cause your TV and sound bar will be able to talk to one another a little better. But regardless I do feel the S60A is going to be better suited for someone who is looking for a more vocals and dialog focused sound bar.
So after reviewing the new JBL Charge 5 and being pleasantly surprised by it… I decided to check out the new JBL Bar 5.0 Multibeam sound bar… yeah the name is a complete mess… but the sound bar it self is actually very solid. Its got support for virtual dolby atmos and dolby vision, its got an ethernet port, there’s a lot going on under the hood here, but the stand out characteristic about this sound bar is that it has so much bass that you’d think there’s a subwoofer in the room… but there isn’t.
So for that last few months the Bose Smart Sound 300 has been my go to sound bar. But today we’re going to see how it stacks up to these newer sound bars like the JBL Bar 5.0 and the Samsung HW-S60A. Now personally I am rather exited to compare the JBL sound bar to this new Samsung sound bar cause Samsung actually owns JBL. But nonetheless if you’re looking for a compact sound bar either for your bed room or small living room, lets see which ones right for you.
