Today we’re going to be comparing some of my favorite mid sized speakers. I actually like each of these speakers for different reasons, and depending on your needs and budget one of these is going to be better suited for you. We have the brand new JBL Charge 4, the also brand new UE Boom 3, the Sony XB31 and one of the coolest looking speakers out there… the JBL Pulse 3.
UE Megablast 3 And Boom 3 Review
Last year when I first reviewed the UE Megablast I didn’t like it at all. But then when I resisted the Megablast 8 months later thanks to some software updates and new features, I liked it a little more even though it still had its problems. But now that we have the Boom 3 and Megaboom 3… I actually really like both of these speakers. I feel the Megaboom 3 is so good, it can actually keep up with the big boys like the Sony XB41 and JBL Xtreme 2.
The Best Large And Portable Bluetooth Speakers
If you’re in the market for a large portable speaker you’ll might be looking into popular options like the Sony XB41 or the JBL Xtreme 2… or you could be looking into the LG PK7 which essentially is a mash up between the XB41 and the Xtreme 2. You get a light feature and a speaker set up similar to the Xtreme 2. So lets see which of these speakers is worth your money.
LG PK7 Review - It Sounds As Good As It Looks
On paper the LG PK7 sounds like the complete package, its a large portable speaker with dual passive radiators, dual transducers, and dual tweeters with “meridian audio technology”. It even has a built in light feature and it somehow won a reddot design award. The LG PK7 is basically a mash up between the JBL Xtreme 2 and the Sony XB41… But this speaker performs as good as it looks.
Revisiting The UE MEGABLAST & Comparing It To JBL Xtreme 2 & Sony XB41
When I first reviewed the UE Megablast a few months ago I didn’t like it at all. It had a whole bunch of missing features, it relied way too much on voice commands, and it just didn’t sound good. The megablast had way too much bass and no mids. But I decided to give the Megablast a second chance. And even though it still has its problems… it actually sounds really good now. So good in fact that I feel its actually up there with the JBL Xtreme 2 with a form factor smaller than the Sony XB41.
JBL Clip 3 Vs Bose Soundlink Micro
I've always liked the Bose Soundlink Micro, but I must admit that it is expensive for what it is. But now theres the JBL Clip 3, an ultra portable bluetooth speaker that I feel is a better bang for your buck then the Bose Soundlink Micro. The JBL Clip 3 doesn't sound as good as the Bose Soundlink Micro but the JBL Clip 3 has a much more useful battery life at a fraction of the price.
360 Degree Speakers Compared - JBL Pulse 3 Vs Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus Vs UE Megablast
When ever I do a versus video I always take price into consideration… but not today. Today we’re going to compare the three most popular 360 degree speakers right now. We have one of my most favorite products, the JBL Pulse 3… the elegant Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus… and the somewhat improved UE Megablast. These 3 speakers don’t just look very different, they also have very different approaches to how they produce their 360 degree sound.
Bose's Portable Speaker Lineup Explained
For the last few months Bose has been releasing innovative, but weird products… like their new sleep buds which are supposed to help you sleep better, and their wearable Soundwear companion speaker which is a $300 speaker you wear around your neck… I mean yeah it sound good but it is a pretty tough sell. But today we’re breaking down Bose’s portable speaker line up which I also feel is a little wired. We’ve got the Bose Soundlink Micro, The Soundlink Color 2, The Soundlink Revolve and the sound link Revolve Plus.
