Dieting doesn't have to be hard, you can make it a little easier by eating great tasting food. But sometimes the best tasting food isn't the healthiest. You just have to get a little creative as to how you make it. So thats why today we're going to show you how to make great tasting Chick-fil-a sandwiches that have half the calories but all of the yum. Lets get started!

Ingredients
- Chicken Breast Halves
- Hamburger Buns
- Dill Pickles (2 cups of pickle juice)
- 2 cups Water
- Bread Crumbs
- ¼ Cup Salt
- ¼ Cup Sugar
- 2 Table Spoons Accent Flavor (optional)
- ¼ Cup Olive Oil
- 2 Table Spoons Paprika
- 1 Table Spoon Black Pepper
- ½ Cayenne Pepper Or Red Peper Flakes
- 2 Large Eggs
We Know Its A Long List, But The Flavor Is In The Breading. So Lets Do This!
First grab your chicken breasts and butterfly them. Then you'll want to grab a mace and give them a good pounding (get your head out of the gutter we're making greatness here) Make sure your chicken has a consistent thickness all over.
Once thats done lets get started on the brine. Get a large baking pan and pour in your water, pickle juice from the pickle jar you bought, ¼ cup salt, ¼ sugar, 2 table spoons accent flavor (optional) and ¼ olive oil. Stir until everything dissolves and then throw in your chicken. Cover the pan with plastic wrap or foil and let it sit in the fridge for 2-3 hours. By putting the chicken in a brine you get a whole lot of flavor and your chicken stay juice after the baking process. You should get something like the picture above.
Ok, since we have to let the chicken sit in the brine for 2 hours lets get the breading done. First get a clean plate. Make sure its large enough so you can cover you chicken with the breading easily. Combine 2 cups of bread crumbs (we used gluten free bread crumbs but if you can't find it normal bread crumbs will do) with ½ tablespoon salt, ½ tablespoon sugar, 2 tablespoons paprika, 1 tablespoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, and 1 teaspoon accent flavor (optional). Mix it all up and come back in about 2 or 3 hours.
Alright, has the chicken been in the brine for at least 2 hours? Don't lie to me Jimmy... you're only hurting yourself. Now Lets get a bowl and crack to eggs and add a splash of milk. Now whisk.
Now lets set up your assembly line. You'll want to line up your chicken brine, egg wash, and breadcrumbs in that order.
Now take your chicken out of the brine, place it in the egg wash, and evenly coat it with the breadcrumbs on each side.
After your chicken breast is covered in breadcrumbs place them in a baking sheet, skillet, or cake pan lined with enough foil to cover it completely. Remember to spray a lot of nonsticking spray on the foil. Once thats done cover your chicken with the foil.
Now throw in your chicken into the over for 40 minutes. After the first 40 minutes take the chicken out of the over and take off the foil covering. place the chicken back into the oven for 8 minutes and then you're done.
At this point your chicken is done. This chicken is so good you can eat it on its own. You can make a big batch Sunday night and have great tasting chicken for the whole week. But you're here for Chick-fil-a. Take out your burger buns (we used whole grain burger buns) open them up and place your chicken breast and 3 pickles. And there you have it, a super healthy chick-fil-a alternative you can eat without feeling guilty.
