Dyson V11 Vs Shark Vertex Pro - Is The Dyson Worth It?

hey Amazon so this is the Shark vtex Pro and this is the Dyson v11 and today we are going to break down these two vacuums and I'm going to tell you the difference between these two vacuums and hopefully we can find out which one is right for you now first off one of the first things that we have to talk about is about the size of these vacuums now the Dyson v11 the vacuum itself is a little larger and it is a little heavier than the vertex Pro because with the v11 the handheld vacuum itself weighs in at4 L and 9 oz yes we are rounding up here whereas the vertex Pro weighs in AT3 L3 Oz however when fully assembled with the neck and with the carpet cleaner attachment attached the Dyson v11 weighs in at6 lb and a half whereas the vtex pro weighs in at almost 9 lb so overall the complete package of the Dyson V V1 is overall lighter than the vertex Pro however another very important thing about the the v11 is going to be its overall design and its center of gravity the majority of the weight of the v11 is located here right um right above your wrist and right above your hand so this vacuum doesn't cause any wrist pain after like let's say 20 minutes of use whereas with the shark vertex Pro since the center of gravity of this vacuum is located more here more forward and down downwards I have noticed that after like let's say 10 minutes of use this vacuum does cause some discomfort in your wrist so that's definitely something that you want to keep in mind if you're a person with arthritis so overall the v11 is more comfortable to use than the vertex Pro because the complete package is overall lighter and also the center of gravity of this vacuum is located in a place where you aren't going to get wrist disc Comfort after a while of use however the v11 does have two drawbacks compared to the vtex pro that I do want to point out first off the bin on the v11 is just a little smaller than the bin on the vtex pro you're not really going to notice it but technically it is there but also the thing that I don't like about the v11 is that the v11 has a trigger that you have to keep held down for this vacuum to work and personally I do feel that having to constantly keep this trigger held down does get a little Annoying after a while and it does get a little tiring especially on your forearm whereas with the vertex Pro like I mentioned earlier the bin on this vacuum is just a little larger than the bin found on the v11 technically you're not really going to notice but technically it is there but more importantly with the vtex pro this vacuum has a power on button so once you turn this vacuum on it stays on you don't have to constantly keep a trigger held down and personally I do feel that that is a a lot more comfortable than having to keep the trigger held down on the v11 now when it comes to the overall performance of these two vacuums the v11 does have notably more suction than the vertex Pro but also the v11 is a little quieter than the vertex Pro while having more suction than the vertex Pro but right now we're just going to go ahead and do a quick sound test of these two vacuums now first off we're going to power on the vertex Pro and this is the vertex Pro running on eco [Applause] mode and we're going to switch over to the v11 on eco mode so that's the v11 and as you can notice it is noticeably quieter than the vertex Pro and it also has more suction than the vertex Pro now we're going to use these two vacuums while they're set to their medium settings here comes the vertex Pro so that's medium on the vortex Pro Here Comes medium on the

v11 so that's medium on the v11 again it is noticeably quieter and it has more suction than the vertex Pro and now we're going to use both of these vacuums on their boost modes so that was the vertex Pro while in its boost mode and here comes the v11 while in boost mode as well now yes both of these vacuums are louder but the 11 is a little quieter than the vertex Pro while also having more suction but now when it comes to the battery life of these two vacuums both of these vacuums have an advertised battery life of 60 Minutes however with the Dyson this vacuum has an advertised battery life of 60 minutes while it's running in its medium mode and this is the mode that you're going to be using most of the time because with both of these vacuums you only want to use their boost modes when you have to because when you use their boost modes that is going to drain the battery life a lot faster and also continuous use of the boost mode on both of these on both of these vacuums that is going to drain the overall health of your battery whereas with the vertex Pro this vacuum does have an advertised battery life of 60 Minutes however that is with this vacuum running on eco mode which is the quieter [Applause] mode which is this quieter mode here and that is also with this vacuum not using uh the uh motorized carpet cleaner head and that is also with this vacuum not having the carpet cleaner head set to its carpet mode which does take an additional toll on the battery life so overall with the Dyson v11 this vacuum not only has more suction than the vertex Pro not only is it quieter than the vertex Pro and not only is it lighter than the vertex Pro the battery life on the v11 does perform and last longer than the battery found on the vertex Pro however just keep in mind that battery life on both of these vacuums really does vary depending on how you use them and it also depends on what attachments you're using but speaking of the attachments that come included with both of these vacuums these are the two main attachments that come with the vertex Pro and with the v11 both of these vacuums come included with a motorized carpet cleaner head now the width of both of these carpet cleaner heads is about the same however as you can tell the v1's carpet cleaner head here it is a lot smaller and it is a lot lighter than the carpet cleaner head that comes included with the vertex Pro so with this carpet cleaner head that comes included with vv11 it is going to be easier to get under your furniture because it is just smaller and it's also a little more low profile but more importantly with the v11 the v11 scorp cleaner head only has one main roller whereas the head that comes included with the vertex Pro this corpor cleaner head has two rollers we do have our uh main roller here with the Fluffy fibers and this is the roller that's going to do the better job here of cleaning your hardwood floors and here is your secondary roller here that has stiffer bristles and it also has these rubber fins and this is the roller that's going to help get into your carpet however in order to activate this roller here you do have to set the vacuum over to its carpet cleaner mode and basically when this vacuum is set to it it's a default hardwood floor mode both of these rollers are going to spin equally however if you were to set this uh vacuum to its carpet cleaner mode then this secondary roller here it is going to spin up however just keep in mind that if you use this carpet cleaner ahead while in carpet mode that is going to drain your battery life faster because you are sacrificing some battery life to spin this secondary roller a lot faster but more importantly the vertex Pro only comes included with one motorized head whereas the v11 comes included with two motorized heads and basically this is just a smaller version of the larger carbet cleaner head but this is the head that you might want to use on your stairs carpet or if you have a Pet's bed but then there are also the non-motorized heads that come included with both of these vacuums now with the vertex Pro you get a single crevice tool but you also get a crevice tool with the v11 and basically both of these tools get the same job done however with the v11 you also get the second non-motorized tool here and this is basically a dusting tool either you can use this tool without the bristles or you can extend the bristles and this is going to be a good tool for like let's say dusting your carpet or for cleaning your um your uh computer's keyboard so overall the Dyson v11 does come included with more tools than the vertex Pro however one tool that the vertex Pro does have over the dys V1 is that it does have this multilex neck so with this it is going to make it easier for you to get under your furniture and uh let's say your bed however just keep in mind that due to the carpet cleaner heads thicker design it won't be able to get under as much Furniture as let's say the Dyson v1's carpet cleaner head because it is a little thinner but with all that being said the shark Vortex Pro is a very versatile vacuum that's going to work well on both hardwood floors and on carpets however with the Dyson v111 you are going to get some very significant upgrades with this this system now first off the v11 when fully assembled it is noticeably lighter than the vertex Pro and also thanks to the location of the center of gravity of this vacuum it doesn't cause any wrist pain after prolonged use the only thing that I don't like about fv1 is that you do have to keep this trigger held down and keeping this uh this trigger held down can get a little tiring after like let's say 20 minutes in the forearm however tireness in the forearm isn't as bad as having um rest discomfort with the vertex Pro now with the Dyson v11 more importantly you are getting better performance with this vacuum specifically this vacuum is a little quieter than the vertex Pro it does have better suction than the vertex Pro and the battery on the Dyson v11 does last a little longer than the battery found on the vertex Pro but also with both of these vacuums you do get your motorized carpet cleaner heads that are going to work well on hardwood floors and on carpets but with the v11 you are going to get a secondary motorized head alongside your two non-motorized crevice tools whereas with the vertex Pro you only get this single non-motorized head however something that the vertex Pro does have over the Dyson v11 is that it does come included with this multilex neck so it's going to make it a little easier for you to get under your furniture however personally I do feel that the Dyson v11 is going to be the better investment here because of the overall better performance and better Comfort than the vertex Pro

Dyson V12 Slim Vs Shark Detect Pro - Which Is More Comfortable To Use?

so this is the shark detect Pro and this is the Dyson V12 slim and today we are going to compare these two vacuums and hopefully we're going to tell you which one is right for you now first off we are going to have to talk about the size of these two vacuums with the detect Pro this vacuum is notably smaller than the V12 and the handle itself is a little lighter weighing in at 2 L and 14 oz and yes we are rounding up here whereas the V12 slim weighs in at 3 lb and 8 oz but when fully assembled the detect Pro weighs in at a little over 6 lb whereas with the V12 sln this vacuum weighs in at 5.2 lb with the Fluffy optic tool and it will weigh in at 5.4 lb if you're using the dedicated carpet cleaner head so overall both of these vacuums are relatively small and they're both relatively lightweight and the good thing about both of these vacuums is that with both of these vac vacuums they both have a power on button so once these vacuums are turned on they stay on you don't have to constantly keep a trigger held down like you have to do with some of Dyson's other vacuums like let's say the v11 or the v15 but also even though the detect Pro is relatively small the good thing about the detect Pro is that the built-in bin in it is twice the size of the bin found in the V12 but also with the detect Pro if you want can get the automatic docking tool and what this automatic docking tool does it automatically cleans out the bin and it also keeps your vacuum fully charged so every single time that you go and you reach for your vacuum if you have the automatic docking tool you are going to get a vacuum that is completely cleaned out and the battery is fully charged whereas with the V12 you have to manually clean out the bin and you have to manually plug this vacuum into charge but then there's the overall performance of these two vacuums now overall when it comes to suction I have to say that both of these vacuums have the same suction to them however when it comes to the loudness I do feel that the detect Pro is a little quieter than the V12 but so that you can hear for yourself we're going to do a quick test so first Here Comes eco mode on both of these

vacuums so that's eco mode on the detect Pro Here Comes eco mode on the

V12 now here I do feel that the V12 is a little quieter than the detect Pro while in eco mode now here comes the medium or auto mode on the detect Pro

so that is the medium or auto mode on the detect Pro Here Comes medium mode on a

vv2 so that's dv12 while in Med mode and here comes their boost

modes so that's boost mode on the detect Pro Here Comes boost mode on

vv2 so like you may have just seen while in boost mode the V12 Slim is notably louder than the detect Pro while in boost mode however when it comes to the medium mode on both of these vacuums I do feel that the V12 is just a little quieter than the detect Pro and while in eco mode definitely the V12 is quieter than the detect Pro while both of these vacuums do have the same suction but when it comes to their boost modes the V12 is louder than the detect Pro but when it comes to the battery life on both of these vacuums both of these vacuums have an advertised battery life of 60 Minutes however that advertised better life of 60 Minutes on both of these vacuums is while they're running on eco mode but both of these vacuums have in auto mode and while both of these vacuums are set to Auto then they're both going to be good for around 40 minutes of use however the auto mode on both of these vacuums is very different now with the detect Pro you are going to have some intercat lights located on both the vacuum itself and on the carbet cleaner head so basically with the detect Pro once it detects dirt the the indicator light on top is going to turn red and that is telling you that the vacuum has detected a lot of dirt and so it's going to automatically spin up then the indicator light is going to switch over to Amber and that's basically telling you that hey we're currently cleaning this area please keep the carpet cleaner where it is and then the indicator light on the detect Pro is going to switch over to Blue and that's basically telling you that hey this area has now been cleaned and the vacuum will automatically lower its suction and personally I do like the indicator light system on the detect Pro because it is a lot simpler to understand and it is found on both the vacuum itself and on the carbet cleaner head now the V12 also has an automatic mode however the automatic mode on the V12 doesn't communicate what it's doing as well as the detect Pro but with the V12 you do have these graphs here on the back and basically if you see that the purple or the pink graph is spiking you should definitely keep your vacuum where it is but if you have the the yellow or orange graph up that is normal however one thing that the V12 does have over the detect Pro is that thanks to the LCD screen on the back you do get a better readout of how much battery you have left now right now this vacuum is set to Eco and as you can see we have a battery life of around 16 minutes um and 40 seconds but if we were to switch this over to Auto then the battery life is going to switch over to 9 minutes and if we to switch it over to boost then we're going to have a battery length of 2 minutes 38 seconds so overall both of these vacuums have an auto mode and both of these Auto modes are good however I do prefer how the auto mode on the zct pro communicates to you because it is a lot simpler to understand than the auto mode found on the V12 but also keep in mind both of these vacuums do have an advertised better life of 60 minutes but that's with both of these vacuums running on their EC modes however if you were to use these vacuums while in their auto mode modes they're going to be good for around 40 minutes and while in boost mode that is going to take a very big toll on the battery life it's only going to be good for a few minutes or so but then there are the included accessories that come included with both of these vacuums and plainly said the Dyson comes included with a lot more accessories than the shark detect Pro now with the detect Pro we have a single motorized caror cleaner head and this corpor cleaner head here has a single roller and with this roller we have a lot of soft bristles here with stiffer bristles here and these are the ones that are going to help get into your carpet but more importantly we do have these rubber fins here and this is what's going to help you get really deep into those carpets whereas with the V12 we do have a carpet cleaner head here and again this is motorized but with this here we have our softer bristles here and we have our stiffer bristles here now this corpet cleaner head is going to work well on both carpet and hardwood floors but I do feel that you are going to get a deeper clean with the shark detect Pro in your carpet due to those rubber fins however with the V12 the V12 also has this fluffy optic tool and this fluffy optic tool has much softer bristles on it so this is the tool that you want to use for your hardwood floors but more importantly The Fluffy optic tool also has a green built-in LED and what this green built-in LED does is that it helps you find a lot of dirt or dust on your hardwood floors so when you're cleaning you know that an area is clean due to the fluffy optic tool and personally I do feel that the built-in LEDs on this cleaning head here is a lot more useful than the cleaning head found on the detect Pro so if you have a lot of hardwood floors that you plan on cleaning up personally I would recommend that you go with the Dyson simply because this caror cleaner head here does have that green built-in LED which is a very simple tool but it is a very useful tool and finally the V12 also comes included with this smaller motorized head here and this smaller motorized head here is what you might want to use if you want to do any detail work in your car or if you want to clean your upholstery or if you have a Pet's bed or you can also use this tool for cleaning a carpeted staircase now both of these vacuums also come included with a crevice tool however the crevice tool that comes included with the V12 it is narrower and longer than the crevice tool that comes included with the detect Pro so that might be important if you plan on doing a lot of detail work and both of these vacuums also come included with a duster now the duster that comes included with ad detect Pro is wider than the duster that comes included with the V12 but with the V12 you can choose if you want to use the bristles on it or not because these bristles you can extend them and you can retract them so if you're trying to choose between the shark detect Pro and the Dyson V12 slim it is a bit of a hard decision now the good things that I like about the shark detect Pro is that when this vacuum is set to off auto mode it's auto mode does a much better job of communicating to you what exactly it's doing I also like that the bin in the detect Pro is larger than the Benin found in the um Dyson V12 slim and also if you have the automatic dock with the detect Pro the automatic dock is going to automatically clean out your bin and it is going to keep your vacuum fully charged so every time that you reach for your vacuum you are going to get an empty vacuum with a battery that's fully charged also I feel that with the detect Pro the carpet cleaner head that comes included with it I do feel that it is going to give you a deeper clean in your carpets thanks to the built-in rubber fins however with the Dyson V12 slim with this vacuum you are going to get a lot more accessories and more importantly if you plan on cleaning a lot of hardwood floors the built-in LED found on the fluffy optic tool is going to make it a lot easier for you to see any dirt or dust that you have on your Hardwood floors thus making it easier for you to clean up because this fluffy optic tool does a better job of showing you where the dirt is whereas with a the detect Pro not so much but also with the V12 slim this vacuum is noticeably quieter than the detect Pro while it's in eco mode and while it's in auto mode however this vacuum is louder than the detect Pro while it's in its boost mode however you should only use boost mode on both of these vacuums when you absolutely have to

Dyson V12 Vs Shark Vertex Pro - Can Shark Keep Up?

so this is the shark vertex Pro and this is the Dyson V12 slim and today we are going to compare these two vacuums because they are very different from one another now first off obviously the V12 is significantly smaller than the vertex Pro the V12 weighs in at £3 and5 Oz and yes we are rounding up here whereas the vertex Pro weighs in AT3 lb3 Oz but more importantly when these two vacuums are fully built out the vertex Pro weighs in at almost 9 lb whereas the V12 slim weighs in at 5.2 lb with it fluffy optic tool and it will weigh in at 5.4 lb with the dedicated carpet cleaner head but more importantly is the center of gravity with these two vacuums with the V12 slim the center of gravity is located here above your wrist so when you're using this vacuum it's fairly comfortable whereas with the vertex Pro since the the center of gravity of this vacuum is located here on the bottom and forward what I have noticed is that after 10 minutes or so you do get a lot of discomfort here in the wrist because of the location of center of gravity so overall with the V12 slim this vacuum is a lot more comfortable to use than the vertex Pro because number one it is significantly lighter but also due to the center of gravity of this vacuum but then there's the overall performance of these two vacuums now the suction power on both of these vacuums is relatively the same I do feel that the vortex pro has a little bit more suction than the V12 but I do feel that the difference is very small however the major difference between these two vacuums is going to be their loudness because right now we're going to jump into a quick sound test now right now we're going to use both of these vacuums while they're set on their Eco modes so this is Eco Mode on the vertex Pro now here comes Ecco mode on the

V12 so as you can tell the V12 is a significantly quieter than the vertex Pro now here comes the medium mode on both of these vacuums so that was medium on the vertex Pro here comes a medium on the Dyson so that was medium on the Dyson and here comes the boost mode on both of these vacuums so that was boost mode on the vertex Pro Here Comes boost mode on the Dyson so like you may have just seen I do feel that the V12 is overall quieter than the vertex Pro but then there's the battery life on both of these vacuums now both of these vacuums have an advertised battery life of 60 minutes however that advertise by length of 60 Minutes is with both of these vacuums running while in their Eco modes however real roll use with the V12 running while it it's in automatic mode it's going to be good for around 40 minutes and while the V12 is set to its automatic mode is going to automatically spin up its speed so if you need more suction if it detects a lot of dirt it's going to do that and if it detects less dirt then it's going to automatically lower its suction so overall real world use the V12 is going to be good for around 40 minutes of use but just keep in mind by life on both of these vacuums really varies depending on how you use them and what you're cleaning whereas battery life on the vertex Pro isn't as good now if you have this vacuum set to Eco and while in its hard woods floor mode then the battery life on this vacuum is going to be good for up to 46 minutes or if you have this vacuum set to Eco and if you have it set to its carpet mode then it's going to be good for up to 30 minutes but real real use if you were to use this vacuum while it's in its corpet mode and while it's set to its medium mode then it's going to be good for around 20 minutes if that but more importantly the vertex Pro does not have an automatic mode to it so you are going to have to manually switch this vacuum from its eco mode to its boost mode back to its medium mode or back to its eco mode whereas with the V12 the V12 will automatically handle all of that if you have it set to Auto but if if you want to extend its battery life you can set it over to Eco and if you have a very big mess to clean up you can set it over to boost but then there are the included accessories that come with these two vacuums and plainly said the Dyson comes included with a lot more accessories than the vertex Pro now with the vertex Pro you do get this motorized carpet cleaner head and this head here does have the same width as the heads that come included with the Dyson however the head that comes included with the vertex Pro it is a lot larger and it is a lot heavier but the thing with this head here is that this head does have two built-in rollers we have our roller here for the hardwood floors that has very soft bristles and we have our secondary roller here for the carpet that has your stiffer Bristols and it also has these rubber fins now when you turn this vacuum on both of these rollers are going to be spinning however if you were to set this vacuum over to its carpet mode then this secondary roller here is going to spin up faster to help you get a deeper clean in your carpets overall this roller is going to be able to handle both hardwood floors and carpets and this roller also has buil-in LEDs and personally I do like that this roller does have this built-in rubber stopper on the front which is going to help protect your furniture but then there's the Dyson now the Dyson comes included with this carpet cleaner head here and this carpet cleaner head here has your softer bristles here and it also has your stiffer bristles here so this carpet cleaner head is going to work well on both carpets and hardwood floors but personally I do feel that the carpet cleaner head that comes included with the shark is going to give you a deeper clean in your carpets specifically because it has those built in rubber fins whereas the Dyson just doesn't but what really separates the Dyson V12 slim here from the vertex Pro is this fluffy optic tool now this fluffy optic tool is going to be best suited for your hardwood floors because this tool here has your very soft bristles but the really interesting thing about this head here is it also has a green buil-in LED and this green buil-in LED really helps you find any dirt or dust on your hardwood floors a lot better than the white LED found on the shark so personally I do feel that if you have a lot of hardwood floors to clean up then you're definitely going to want to go with the Dyson specifically because of the green built-in LED on the fluffy optic tool but also the Dyson does come included with a third motorized head and this is the tool that you might want to use if you want to clean a carpeted staircase or if you want to do some detail work in your car if you want to clean up upholstery or if you want to clean your pet's bed but both of these vacuums also come included with non-motorized heads now both these shark and Dyson come included with very similar crevice tools but the Dyson also comes included with this dusting tool that also has built-in bristles that you can either extend or retract so overall yes the Dyson comes included with a lot more tools than the vertex Pro however one tool that the vertex Pro does have over the Dyson V12 slim is that it does have this flexible neck so you can actually Bend this neck and it's going to make it easier for you to get under your furniture like let's say your sofa or your mattress so with all that being said if you're trying to choose between the shark vertex Pro and the Dyson V12 slim personally I do recommend the Dyson over the Shark vtex Pro for multiple reasons now first off with the Dyson you are going to get a lot more accessories than you do with the shark and if you have a lot of hardwood floors to clean up personally I do recommend the Dyson because you also get that fluffy optic tool with that built-in green LED which makes it a lot easier for you to find any dirt or dust that you have on hardwood floors but also with the V12 slim this vacuum is a lot more comfortable to use than the shark because first off it is significantly lighter but also due to the center of gravity of this vacuum being above your hand you're not going to get any discomfort like you do with the vertex Pro whose center of gravity is down and out also with the Dyson V12 this vacuum does have the same suction performance as the vertex Pro however this vacuum is noticeably quieter than the vertex Pro and more importantly the battery life on the V12 is a lot better than the batter life found on the vertex Pro the only main drawback about the V12 is going to be the size of the bin the bin in the V12 is half the size if not a little bit more than the bin found on the vertex Pro however the vertex Pro is still a very capable vacuum and it might be a better option for you if you plan on vacuuming a lot of carpets because its head has those built in rubber fence and also the vertex Pro does come included with that collapsible neck making it easier for you to get below your furniture but the ver Pro does have its issues that you might want to be aware about like its battery life its volume and its slight discomfort due to the censor of gravity of this vacuum

Dyson Gen5 Detect Vs Shark Detect Pro

Dyson Gen5 Detect Vs Shark Detect Pro

so this is the shark detect Pro and this is the Dyson Gen 5 and today we are going to compare these two vacuums and we're going to tell you the difference between these two vacuums because these two systems are very different from one another now first off the most obvious difference between these two vacuums is going to be their size now the detect Pro is a lot smaller than the Gen 5 and it weighs in at 2 lb4 oz and yes we are rounding up here whereas the Gen 5 weighs in at 5 lb now here we're not rounding up because there is a little bit of dirt here in the bin but when fully built out the Gen 5 weighs in at 7.7 lb whereas the detect Pro weighs in at a little over 6 lb so the detect Pro is a little lighter than the Gen 5
