So this is the Soundcore AeroFit Pro, and these are Soundcore’s new open ear true wireless earbuds with Air Conduction… making them a great option if you’re someone that’s looking for a pair of earbuds to workout with or for cycling or for any other action sports really… But there are also the Soundcore AeroFit… and these are also a pair of open ear earbuds but for your more casual situations or for every days use. Nonetheless, today we’re going to checkout both the Soundcore AeroFit Pro and Soundcore AeroFit, and lets see which one’s right for you.
But first, I do have to thank Soundcore for sponsoring this video. Now the Soundcore AeroFit Pro has a retail price of $169.99 and these are mainly meant for working out… and then there are the AeroFit and these retail for $129.99 and these are meant for your more casual use. Nonetheless, if you want to pick either of these two earbuds up they’ll be linked down below.
Now first we need to talk about the most unique aspect of these earbuds and that’s going to be their design and fit. Now both the Aerofit Pro and AeroFit are a pair of open earbuds… meaning that these earbuds don’t actually go into your ear canals, they rest out side and slightly above your ear canals. And in order for them to stay in place, they have ear hooks that go snugly around your ears. But the important thing here is, unlike with some other open ear earbuds out there, both the AeroFit Pro and AeroFit are very comfortable to wear because their ear hooks are very flexible and they will automatically conform to the shape of your ears every single time that you put them on. And thanks to the .7mm titanium wire inside, you dont have to worry about these ear hooks wearing out any time soon. But also the ear hooks on both of these earbuds are very comfortable to wear even for long use sessions cause their silicon bodies have a very nice soft touch to them and they also add extra lockdown. But most importantly, since these earbuds are open earbuds, they are going to give you maximum comfort because they dont actually go into your ear canals. And this is especially great if you’re looking for a pair of earbuds to workout with, because you won’t have to worry about dealing with sweaty earbuds. Which can get uncomfortable and a little gross too. And thankfully, both of these earbuds aren’t afraid of some sweat cause they are both sweat proof.
But also, with the open ear design of these two earbuds you are going to always be aware of your surroundings even while you’re listening to your music. And always being aware of your surroundings with your earbuds is great, specifically if you’re using your earbuds to cycle with while you’re on public roads, this is also a great feature to have if you’re running or training for a marathon, and its also great for more casual situations like for when you’re commuting for work or walking your dog. Now yes, there are plenty of other earbuds out there that have an ambient mode… but being able to actually hear your surroundings is just better and also, open earbuds like these are more comfortable to wear.
Now like I mentioned earlier, thanks to the flexible ear hooks on these earbuds, both the Aerofit pro and the AeroFit offer you a comfortable fit and they also offer good lock down, so you dont have to worry about your earbuds falling out. However, with the AeroFit Pro, these earbuds also come included with a detachable and adjustable neck band. So when used with their neckband, the AeroFit Pro can offer you the maximum amount of lock down, and you can rest assured that no matter how intense your workout gets, or whatever activity you’re doing, like cycling, or perhaps riding your ATV, the AeroFit Pro’s will always stay in place and they won’t fall out.
So overall, both of these earbuds are more comfortable than your typical pair of in ear earbuds cause they don't actually go into your ear canals… and thanks to their open ear designs, both the AeroFit Pro and AeroFit will allow you to stay aware of your surroundings at all times, which can be great for earthier working out or for casual use. And thanks to their flexible soft touch ear hooks, these earbuds fit well and they dont fall out. However if you are planning on working out with your earbuds all of the time, or if you plan on doing more intense activities while you wear your earbuds, then you’ll want to go with the AeroFit Pro cause thanks to their attachable neck band, you can make sure that they won’t fall out, no matter what.
Now both the AeroFit Pro and AeroFit aren’t just a pair of comfortable and well fitting earbuds… they also sound good too. Now the AeroFit Pro have 16.2 mm drivers in them where as the AeroFit have 14mm drivers in them. Overall, both of these earbuds have good instrument separation and thanks to their Air Conduction and their directional acoustics, they have better clarity then your other open earbuds out there that are using bone conduction for their sound. Now both of these earbuds have a lot of bass to them, but thanks to their slightly larger drivers, the AeroFit Pro do have a little more bass than the AeroFit, which is something that you will might like if you’re looking for a pair of earbuds to workout with. And also, through Soundcore’s app, you can go in and adjust the EQ on these earbuds if you want. You can either choose from a few premade EQ’s or you can make your own. So you can make them sound however you want.
But when it comes to audio codecs, both of these earbuds have support for SBC and AAC, and latency isn’t an issue for either these two earbuds so you can use them to watch videos with on your phone. However, the AeroFit Pro also have support for LDAC, which is Sony’s high res audio codec. Now what LDAC does is that it has a higher bit rate so you’re going to have better clarity in your music. However, if you want to take advantage of LDAC you do have to be an android user cause iPhone’s top out a AAC.
But another feature that is exclusive to the AeroFit Pro here is that it does have True 360 degree Spatial audio. So thanks to the additional built in sensors, the AeroFit Pro will track the movement of your head, so your music will move with you and give you a more immersive listening experience.
But when it comes to controlling your media, the Aerofit Pro’s are using physical buttons, and given that these earbuds are meant for working out, it is great to see physical buttons cause you’ll be able to easily skip through your music whether your hands are sweaty or if you have gloves on. Where as with the AeroFit, since these are meant for more casual use, these are using touch pads… and you can tap to skip though your music. The only thing to keep in mind here is, these earbuds dont have proximity sensors, so they won’t automatically play or pause your music… but since these are open ear earbuds and since they’re so comfortable, even when you have them on, you won’t notice that they are there. but you can use one earbud at a time if you want, and you can use either one.
But now lets talk about the case and battery life on these speakers, now since these are open ear earbuds and since they have ear hooks… AeroFit Pro and AeroFit dont have the smallest cases out there. However given the form factor of these earbuds, they still have impressively small cases. Specifically what really surprised me about the form factor of these cases is just how thin they they are. So slipping these cases into your pocket or a backpack packet is pretty easy. But with the AeroFit Pro, just like with other Soundcore earbuds, these are rocking a case that has a spring loaded lid that opens very quickly every time. And the magnets found in these case are decently strong as well, which helps putting away these earbuds very easy as well. And then there are the more casual AeroFit, and these dont have a button to open their lid like with the pro’s, but this lid is still spring loaded and open very easily as well. Overall, I am truly impressed by the size and quality of these cases.
And when it comes to the battery life on these earbuds… its very impressive. The AeroFit Pro have and advertised combined battery life of 46 hours, the earbuds themselves can go for 14 straight hours and the case can supply 2 full charges and a little bit. And with the AeroFit, these have an advertised combined battery life of 42 hours, the earbuds themselves can go for 11 straight hours and the case can supply almost 3 full charges. Nonetheless, both of these earbuds have very long batty lives to them and they both charge via a USB C port as they should.
AeroFit Mic Quite
But finally here’s the microphone test, and for the most part, the microphone on the both the AeroFit and AeroFit pro both sound and perform the same.
AeroFit Pro Mic Quite
And while in a quiet room, both of these microphones do a good job of picking up your voice.
AeroFit Pro Mic Road noise
However, when it comes to blocking out noise pollution, these microphones keep your voice front and center, but you can still hear some noise pollution in the back.
AeroFit Mic Road Noise
Cause here with both the AeroFit and AeroFit Pro, you can hear my voice, but you can still hear some road noise in the background.
AeroFit Mic Chatter
But when it comes to blocking out chatter, these microphones do a much better job of blocking out chatter.
AeroFit Pro mic Chatter
But overall, both of these earbuds have decent sound microphones on them to take phones calls with while in a quite room, and you can get away with some noise pollution with both of them.
But with all of that being said, both the AeroFit Pro and the AeroFit of a pair of very comfortable Open ear earbuds that offer you a very comfortable and unobtrusive fit, and they both have very long battery lives. However, the AeroFit Pro are better suited for working out or for more intense activities like cycling, running, or rock climbing, because thanks to their attachable neck band, they can offer you an even more secure fit, they also have a slightly longer last battery life, they have more bass, and their physical buttons makes it easier to adjust your media. Where as with the AeroFit, yes these earbuds are sweat proof like the AeroFit Pro, and they are also a decent option for working out because of their open ear design, but these are meant for your more casual users and for everyday life thanks to their smaller case, and more elegant built in touch pad.
