So these are the Soundcore Aerofit 2, and these are a pair of Open Earbuds, so you’re always going to be able to hear your surroundings and they are super comfortable cause they dont actually go into your ear canals. But the really cool thing here is, this is Soundcore’s second attempt at these and these are more comfortable and they have some big upgrades as well. Nonetheless lets see what the Soundcore Aerofit 2 are all about.

Now first I do want to thank Soundcore for sponsoring this video. Now the Soundcore Aerofit 2 have a retail price of $99.99 and they come in four different colors. White, black, green and blue. If you want to pick these earbuds up they’ll be linked down below or you can always press on the YouTube shopping button.

So first we have to talk about the fit cause that is the main selling point of these earbuds. Now these are a pair of open earbuds, so they rest right above your ear canals so you are always going to be able to hear your surroundings and they are super comfortable cause they don't actually go into your ear canals. Now open earbuds like these are going to be especially great if you’re someone that likes to run out doors, or if you cycle, or if you’re on a hike, this way you’re going to be able to hear everything around you. Or these are also a good option if you work in an office, or in a warehouse or if you’re a driver… you’re still going to be able to hear everything around you. However, the Aerofit 2’s have also gotten a major redesign which make these earbuds more comfortable and you can now adjust their fit to better fit more people. First off, we have this dual pod design which does a really good job of evenly distributing the weight of these earbuds to the front and back of your ears. Theres also a very thin and flexible stem that connects the two pods together, so you can wear eye glasses with this earbuds. And the underside of these earbuds are fully covered in a very soft silicon, which isn’t going to irritate your skin and its also going to help keep these earbuds in place as well. So even if you get sweaty, these ope earbuds will be able to stay in place. And you don have to worry about getting these earbuds wet cause they are rocking an IP55 dust and waterproof ratting. But also like I mentioned earlier, these earbuds are now adjustable, you can actually click the front pod into 4 different positions. Ive found that position 2 works best for me, and if you have smaller ears then you’ll might want to set them to position 4. But overall, the Aerofit 2 are a pair of very comfortable open earbuds that you can easily wear for multiple hours on end, and you can still hear all of your surroundings which can be super useful in multiple different situations, and thanks to their new design, you can easily wear these earbuds with eye glasses and they are now more adjustable so they should be able to fit more people, better.

Now when it comes to the case of these earbuds, yes this case does have a large footprint so that they can accommodate these earbuds… but the good thing is this case is fairly thin. The usability of this case is very good as well cause the lid opens and closes very easily, and the magnets in this case are pretty strong so they do a great job of grabbing your earbuds when you put them away. Now this cases also charges via a USB C port as it should… but it also now has wireless charging.

And even though the Aerofit 2’s do have a larger case, the Aerofit 2’s compensate this by having a very long battery life. Now these earbuds have a combined advertised battery life of 42 hours. The earbuds themselves can go for 10 hours, and the case can supply 3 full charges an a little bit. So the earbuds themselves have a lot of stamina so they can go for very long on a single charge and the case can give you those 3 additional charges.

Now when it comes to bluetooth connectivity, each earbud establishes a connection with your phone. So if you just want to use one earbud at a time you can use either one, it doesn’t matter. These earbuds can also be connected to any 2 bluetooth devices at the same time making them a good option for any power user out there that has devices from different eco systems… latency is not an issue for these earbuds so you can use them to watch movies or videos with on your phone, and they also have a dedicated gaming mode which is going to reduce latency even more, and they’re also going to emphasis footsteps and voices. And when it comes to audio codecs, these earbuds have support for SBC and AAC… but they also have support for LDAC which is Sony’s own high res audio codec which is going to transfer more data quicker so your going to have better definition in your music. Just keep in mind that if you want to use LDAC you do have to be an android user cause iPhones top out at AAC.

But now lets talk about actually listing to music with these earbuds. Now the Aerofit 2’s have proper speakers, so you’re going to get better audio than a pair of bone conducting earbuds. But the really interesting thing here is, these earbuds have very large drivers, 20 mm but 11.5 mm racetrack drivers. So basically these earbuds get very loud so you’ll be able to hear your music or other content over any ambient sound around you… but also since these drivers as so large, they actually rattle a little bit when theres a lot of bass. Now since these are ope earbuds, details in the instrumentals aren’t going to be that great just cause of their form factor… but the bass and vocals on these earbuds are very well pronounced. And through Soundcore’s app you can also go and select from a few premade EQ’s or you can make your own. Now Soundcore’s signature app sounds very balanced… but with these I actually like to use their bass boost EQ cause it helps these earbuds sound fuller and its more fun.

And when it comes to the media controls on these earbuds, they have touch sensors. And these touch sensors are very accurate and they’re easy to use. And through Soundcore’s app you can go in and customize your button layout. And when properly set up like mine you can play or pause your music, you can skip through your music and accept or reject calls and you can even adjust the volume of your music. The only thing to keep in mind here though is these earbuds don't have proximity sensors. So they will not automatically play and pause your music when you take them out or put them back on.

MIC TEST

Mic Aerofit Quiet

And finally heres the microphone test, and I feel that the Soundcore Aerofit 2 have a good performing microphone for phone calls. While in a quiet room this microphone is doing a good job of focusing on my voice.

Mic AeroFit Road noise

And this microphone also does a good job of dealing with noise pollution cause right now this microphone is doing a good job of reducing all of this road noise. Cause for comparison sake, if we were to switch over to my lapel microphone you’re going to clearly hear all of this road noise, but if we were to switch back over to the Aerofit 2 it is severely reduced and my voice still sounds very clear.

Mic Aerofit Chatter

And its the same thing when it comes to blocking out chatter, this microphone is doing a good job of dealing with all of this noise pollution. Cause again for comparison sake, if we sw5tich over to my lapel microphone you’re going to clearly hear all of this chatter, and if we were to stick back over to the Aerofit 2, it is severely reduced and my voice still sounds very clear. So overall, I feel the Aerofit 2 have a good performing microphone for phone calls that also allows you to get away with a decent amount of noise pollution.

So with all of that being said, the Soundcore Aerofit 2 are a great pair of open ear buds that you can wear for multiple hours on end thanks to their super comfortable form factor… and they also have a long battery life. The Aerofit 2’s also have a good performing microphone on them to take phone calls with and these earbuds sound good and they have a lot of bass… making them fun to listen to while working out. But what I really like about the Aerofit 2’s is their improved design, these earbuds are a lot more comfortable than their predecessors, they fit better and I really appreciate that their case now has wireless charging.
