So the Sony WF-1000XM5’s have a lot of upgrades to them, both on the outside and on the inside. And overall they are a pair of very impressive ANC earbuds. But today we’re going to see how they compare to both the Bose QC Earbuds 2 and the Sennheiser Momentum 3’s… earbuds that are very different from your default options like the AirPods Pro 2 or the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
So the Sennheiser Momentum 4’s are a solid pair of ANC headphones from Sennheiser that have some major improvements that I have been asking for since both the Momentum 3’s and PXC 550 2’s came out. They have a monstrous battery life, ANC that rivals the Sony 1000XM5’s, and a new hard shell case. On paper, these things are amazing… but if you’re a momentum 3 or PXC 550 2 counusiour, and if you upgrade to the Momentum 4’s… there will be times where you will miss your old headphones.
Now both the Sennheiser PXC 550 2’s and the Sennheiser Momentum 3’s are overdue for an upgrade… these things were revealed in the fall of 2019. But they are both great sounding headphones and I really like them for very different reasons. But nonetheless, today we’re going to compare Sennheiser’s ANC headphones… to the Sony 1000XM5’s. Maybe you’re thinking about upgrading or maybe you’re looking for a really good deal.
Both the Sony 1000XM4’s and Bose NC 700’s are a great pair of ANC headphones. But if you’re looking for something more premium with better sound then there are plenty of options out there for you. So today we’re going to compare the new Bang and Olufsen HX’s to my personal favorite sounding headphones the Sennheiser Momentum 3’s and the icons that are the AirPods Max. Now personally I am rather excited about this lineup cause each of these headphones have their own stand out characteristic.
So these are the V-moda M 200 ANC headphones… they’re V-moda’s first pair of ANC headphones… and unfortunately I find it very hard to justify their $500 price tag. Performance wise their Active noise cancelation performs more akin to a pair of entry level or mid tier ANC headphones in 2021, sound quality wise they sound very narrow and bright, and comfort wise… they aren’t the best.
So now that the AirPods Max are here there’s definitely a lot of hype around them. And I will admit the AirPods max do deliver when it comes to sound and active noise cancelation. But today we’re going to be coming them to both the Sennheiser PXC 550-II’s and Sennheiser Momentum 3’s. Now they’ll might not be as popular as lets say the Sony 1000XM4’s or Bose NC 700’s… but I really like both of these headphones but for very specific reasons.
Overall, I think the Bang and Olufsen H95 ANC headphones are a pair of fine headphones. They perform very well and they have exceptional build quality. But they retail for an eye water $800. Now personally I think paying $800 for any pair of ANC headphones is insane… but naturally we’ve gotta see how the H95’s stack up to the Sony 1000XM4’s, Bose NC 700’s and the Sennheiser Momentum 3’s.
Even though the new Sony 1000XM4’s are a great pair of ANC headphones… they still aren’t perfect and they’re not going to be able to please everyone… but thats okay cause one device will never be able to do that. But nonetheless today we’re going to compare the Sony 1000XM4’s both the Sennheiser PXC 550-II’s and the Sennheiser Momentum 3’s. Cause whether youre looking for better sound, better fit, or better build… you’ll might be interested in one of these.
