hey Amazon so this is the Amazon Cosori induction rice cooker and today we are going to have a closer look at this new rice cooker now first off we're just going to go ahead and talk about the construction of this rice cooker now in the front we do have this black plastic body now the rice cooker itself looks nice but definitely if you do have stainless steel appliances around the house then this rice cooker might not fit in as elegantly but we do have a hit of metal up top so that does help make this rice cooker look a little bit more elegant if you're into that now up top we do have our button here which is going to open our spring-loaded lid and the spring-loaded mechanism of this rice cooker it is decent you know like there are a lot of other uh products out there that might have a spring loaded lid on them and the spring in them might be weak but thankfully the lid on this rice cooker is actually decent it opens very nicely every single time but now we're going to go ahead and talk about the included accessories now inside we do get a um a pot for our uh uh vegetables so that we can steam them you also get a measuring cup and you also get a plastic spatula and inside we do have our 20 cup Bowl so this right here this is a nonstick inside but you do want to be mindful that whenever you're actually stirring anything in here either you want to use the included plastic spatula so that your nonstick surface doesn't get scratched up or at the very least don't use any metal utensils to try to stir up your stuff your stuff but yeah this is a 208 cup of Bowl it doesn't mean it's going to hold 20 cups of cooked rice but you are going to be able to go ahead and make about uh after fully cooked about uh 10 cups now up top we do have our plate now this is something that you do want to keep clean now in order to remove this all you got to do is you just press up here on the orange latch just press and this just comes right out just wiggle that out back here this is our uh steam collector so after you're done cooking what you want to do is you just want to open this here and then this lid comes right off and then whatever water you might have in here you might just want to go ahead and throw it out once you're done all you got to do is just put this right back on this latches on very easily and in order to install this again what you want to do is that you want to get this back plate here and you want to put it right behind these hinges here so here and here and then we're just going to grab this orange LED pull that up and it's back in now just from a design standpoint something that I really do like about kosor here is that they actually went ahead and made these sections here very bright orange so it's very easy to you to know oh I have to press here oh and I have to open this here to open this here so that just makes uh the usability of this a little easier especially for first time users and you can just put that back in open this up close it all right and there we go and finally we're actually going to have to talk about the power cable of the rice cooker now this rice cooker does have a uh non-detachable power cable this power cable is a little short and unfortunately you can't switch it out but we're just going to go ahead and actually turn this rice C on because now we can touch about we can talk about the touchcreen on the front all right so now we've got the touch screen on the front powered on now something that I do have to point out about about this touchcreen is that from what I can see this touchcreen actually does not power off so even if you're you not using this rice cooker this is always going to be a standby mode so it's going always to have its buttons illuminated now another thing that I do like about this rice cooker is that the buttons are actually very fast to respond there are a lot of other products out there that might have built-in touchscreens um like these and you know it could be hard to actually use them just because the touchcreen buttons are just so slow so slow to react but thankfully that's not the case with this touchcreen here now with the kosor you can go ahead and actually cook white rice or brown rice old mule grains you can have it keep your food warm and there's also quick rice and we're just going to go ahead and go into the mode setting here you can also use it as a slow cooker you can steam and you can even sauté if you want but we're going to have a closer look at the white rice setting because with the rice setting you can choose if you're going to be um cooking long rice or medium or short or if you're going to be um making porridge and in order and you can also select what kind of a texture you want if you want a harder texture then your cook time is going to be shorter if you want a softer texture longer and for medium or regular you're going to be your cooking temperature is going to be your cook time is going to be at 50 minutes and in order to switch between your long grain your medium or your porridge all you got to do is just click on the white rice now this is your medium to short this is your porridge and back to your long grain I think we usually cook um I think we usually cut medium grain here and also if you want you can also go ahead and delay the start of your cooker and right here you can just go ahead and change the time as you'd like and once you're ready to go you just click Start and the rice cooker just goes ahead and starts cooking your rice all right so we've already done a walk around of the product and now we're actually going to go ahead and show you how to make rice and to make rice is actually super simple it's usually just one part water one part rice but personally I do like to add an extra splash of water into the rice because that's going to help to prevent sticking now first off we're just going to go ahead and we're going to get one cup of white grain rice here and we're just going to go ahead and fill this all the way up okay now we've got our rice here we're going to throw it into the nonstick bowl and we're going to actually save this cup because we're going to be using that later and we're just going to go ahead and actually wash your rice a little

bit now something I just want to point out is that this bowl is pretty big so it's definitely a good option if you have a larger family all right so there our rice is clean and we're just going to get our cup and I'm going to go ahead and add one cup of water throw that edge and an extra Splash and the reason why I do that is because it does help with uh preventing stickage but also I do like to add a little bit of oil and again this does help prevent with stickage just a little bit and this is actually the part where you can go ahead and add and you can add your salt you can add any lime juice any parsley or any cilantro whatever you might have but more importantly we just give that a stir we just going to throw this into our rice cooker close the lid we're going to select on white rice and what are we using we have medium to short I do want a regular texture and I want it to go now so we just click on start and we'll be back in about 50 minutes all right and we're back so once your rice is actually finished all you got to do is you just got to give it a nice stir so that it doesn't stick to the pot and so that it's fluffy for when you're ready to actually eat your rice now if you're not going to be eating your rice immediately the rice cooker is going to keep your rice warm afterwards now overall from a performance standpoint it did take about 52 minutes for the Kori to cook one cup of rice so taking about 50 to 55 minutes for this rice cooker to cook one cup of rice is a little slow the when compared to other rice cookers out there but the reason why this rice cooker might be a little slow is just because of the larger bowl that it does have to heat up but the fact that it does take about 50 minutes for the kosor to cup one cup of rice is a little slow when compared to other rice cookers out there but the reason why is because this rice cooker does have a larger Bowl in it so it does take a little bit more time for it to heat up all of this rice but overall the kosari rice cooker is definitely a solid rice cooker not only because it does bring a larger bowl with it which is going to be super useful if you do plan on uh making larger batches of rice but the really interesting thing about the co- story is that with this rice cooker not only can you choose what kind of rice or oatmeal or any other grains that you might want to cook with the kosor you have very granular settings as to what kind of white rice you're going to be cooking and you can also select the desired texture and this is something that you don't see with a lot of other rice cookers out there but overall the kosor is definitely a solid 360° induction rice cooker
