2 Sony XB100's Vs JBL Charge 5 Vs JBL Flip 5

So like I mentioned in the full review the Sony xb100 is a decent and affordable portable Bluetooth speaker that you can use either at home or take it on the go with you but I also mentioned that two Sony xb100s playing together actually sound fairly impressive So today we're going to see how two Sony xb100s playing in Stereo mode stack up to a single JBL Flip 6 and to a single JBL charge 5. now pricing wise two xb100s is going to cost you 120 whereas a single flip 6 retails for 130 but this speaker likes to go on sale for a hundred dollars on a regular basis and then there's the charge 5 which has a retail price of 180 dollars but this single speaker likes to go on sale on a regular basis for 150 nonetheless if you want to pick either of these two speakers up they'll be linked down have a front motor frame woofer and a frontward firing Tweeter and they both have passive radiators that shoot out the sides but the main difference here the charge 5 is just a little larger now the big deal as to why it's important is that these JBL speakers have a woofer and a tweeter setup is that the woofer is going to focus on the mid and the Tweeter is going to focus on the highs so this is going to help with overall instrument separation. so volume wise a 2xb 100s do a decent job of keeping up with the flip 6 when it's playing at 75 volume but obviously the charge 5 is just going to be notably louder than the xb100s while it's playing at 75 volume and in general both the JBL speakers are just going to give you better max volume performance than the XPO 100s now sound quality wise the two xb100s do sound a little tinny when compared to these other two speakers because they put an emphasis on the highs whereas with JBL speakers they sound more balanced because they don't have as much of an emphasis on the highs and they also have better instrument separation because they have Adele woofer and Twitter setup that I mentioned earlier and also both the JBL speakers are just going to have more bass in their music than these two xb100s and also since these two xb100s are upward firing speakers these speakers are going to sound better when they're indoors because then that way their sound has a ceiling to bounce off of or if you're going to use the xb100s while Outdoors you want to try to get them to actually get aimed directly at you so the music is actually hitting you and finally there's just the customizable EQ on these speakers with both the JBL speakers you can adjust their EQ to your liking and personally I like to charge 5 exactly the way it is but with the flip six I do like to raise the bass and lower the treble a little bit whereas with the xb100s even though it does connect to Sony's Music Center app you can't actually adjust its EQ but finally there's the battery life performance on these speakers now with the xb100 if you're using a single xb100 then you're most likely going to want to use it at max volume on a regular basis and if that's the case then the xb100 is going to only last you for about five hours of playback time but with two xb100s using them at 80 volume actually sounds decent enough and if you're going to be using these speakers at 80 volume then you can expect a battery life of around 10 to 12 hours of playback time whereas with the flip 6 it has an advertised battery life of 12 hours but real worldly used with it playing at 80 volume it's good for about eight to nine hours of playback time and with the charge 5 it has an advertised battery life of 20 hours but real world use with it playing at 80 volume it's good for about 10 to 11 hours of playback time so battery life wise I feel the xb100s do a decent job of keeping up with these other two speakers if you use them at 80 volume but sound quality wise two xb100s just aren't going to sound as good or get as loud as either of these two JBL speakers so personally I do feel that too Sony xb100s playing together sounds rather impressive but overall I do feel that you're going to be better off going either with the flip 6 or the charge 5. if you made it this far I guess you enjoyed the video so hit the like button and get subscribed if you want to
