So the Bose Soundlink Max is a very premium feeling speaker, I really appreciate that it still has an audio jack and I like that you can use its USB C port to charge your own devices. However relative to its size and price and overall performance, I feel the Bose Soundlink Max is over priced and hard to justify. But today we’re going to see how the Bose Soundlink Max stacks up to both the JBL Boombox 3 and Sony ULT 7 which aren’t far off from the Bose Soundlink Max.

So the JBL Xtreme 4 has some very big upgrades to it like a swappable battery, better sound and Auracast. And in general, this is a super portable and loud speaker thats great to take to the beach or park with you. However, the JBL Xtreme 4 is a little pricy, and for not a lot more you can get either the JBL Boombox 3 or the Sony ULT 7, which is currently my favorite speaker for summer 2024. Either way if you’re trying to choose between picking up the JBL Xtreme 4 or either of these two big boys, lets see which one is right for you.

So the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus is a very impressive speaker cause it gets very loud and it has a ton of bass a while being relatively small. The Soundcore Boom 2 Plus is so impressive, it actually does a great job of keeping up with the Big Boys like the JBL Boombox 3 and Sony ULT Field 7. So if you’re looking for a speaker for summer 2024 lets see how the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus compares to both JBL Boombox 3 and my current favorite speaker, the Sony ULT Field 7.

I personally really like the new Sony ULT Field 7 cause it sounds a lot more balanced than its predecessor, the Sony XG500. It still has a ton of bass, but the mids are a lot more pronounced and this speaker gets loud. However, today we have to see how the Sony ULT Field 7 stacks up to the JBL Boombox 3… there might be a new king in town.

So JBL’s new Partybox 320 and 120 are surprisingly portable cause the 120 is relatively small, and the 320’s built in wheels just makes it super easy to roll this speaker around. However, if you’re looking for something even more portable, then you’ll might want to look at the JBL Boombox 3. Now yeah, the JBL Boombox 3 is more portable and durable… but it costs almost as much as the Partybox 320. So naturally, how does the boombox 3 sound when compared to either the Partybox 320 or Partybox 120.

I have been very pleasantly surprised by the Soundcore Boom 2 cause it gives you a lot of sound in a relatively compact package and its very affordable too… making this a great speaker for summer 2024. Now the Soundcore Boom 2 sounds very impressive all on its own… but if you get two and pair them up, they sound even more impressive… so impressive that they actually give big speakers like the JBL Boombox 3 and Sony XG500 a real run for their money.

So this is the LG XBOOM XL7, now even though it does have its short comings, personally I really enjoy its mellow sound signature and I think the customizable light feature up top is a nice touch. But today, we’re going to see how the XL7 stacks up to some smaller and more portable options like the JBL Boombox 3 and the Sony XG500.
