I have been very pleasantly surprised by the Soundcore Boom 2 cause it gives you a lot of sound in a relatively compact package and its very affordable too… making this a great speaker for summer 2024. Now the Soundcore Boom 2 sounds very impressive all on its own… but if you get two and pair them up, they sound even more impressive… so impressive that they actually give big speakers like the JBL Boombox 3 and Sony XG500 a real run for their money.
So the new Sony XV500 is a refined version of the Sony XP500 that has a more balanced sound and it also looks sleeker. And if you’re looking for a portable box speaker, then the XV500 is a good option. However, we also have the Sony XG500 which is more portable and more durable, but when it some to sound, these speakers are very different. None the less today we’re going to compare these two speakers and see which one is right for you.
So this is the LG XBOOM XL7, now even though it does have its short comings, personally I really enjoy its mellow sound signature and I think the customizable light feature up top is a nice touch. But today, we’re going to see how the XL7 stacks up to some smaller and more portable options like the JBL Boombox 3 and the Sony XG500.
Thanks to the Boombox 3’s new speaker set up, the Boombox 3 now has an impress amount of bass, and it no longer sounds nasally and flat at higher volumes like its predesscors did. Now overall, I like and recommend the Boombox 3… but today we’re going to see how it stacks up to my personal favorite large bluetooth speaker… the UE Hyperboom… and we’re also going to compare it to the Sony XG500. Can the Boombox 3, finally dethrone the Hyperboom?
So last year Sony released their XG500 which was their first large portable Bluetooth speaker and response to the JBL Boombox… and they also gave us a sneak peak of their new design language. But now in the summer of 2022, sony has released the rest of their lineup, the XG300, XE300, and XE200. So today, we’re going to break down Sony’s speaker lineup for 2022.
So the Sounboks Go is Sounboks’s newest speaker that’s super portable and super durable all while still being able to get super loud and it also has a super long battery life. And if you’re looking for a speaker to constantly take on the go with you, then the Go is a great option. But since I do feel that the Go is going to be cross referenced with multiple speakers… and there are more portable options out there… today we’re going to compare the Go to the JBL Boombox 2, Sony XG500, and the UE Hyperboom.
The Partybox Encore Essential is a great little box speaker that packs a very big punch in a very small package. And for most people, I think this speaker will have no problem delivering. But if you’re looking for something durable and portable to constantly take on the go with you… the encore will get the job done… but today we’re going to compare the Encore to the JBL Boombox 2, the Sony XG500 and the UE Hyperboom.
So overall Sony’s new X series line up speakers is decent. The Sony XG500 is super portable, its got a great battery life, and it has a mic input which is a little rare for a speaker like this. The XP700 is a good large box speaker which delivers all around and then there’s the XP500 which is also good… but you’ll might want to use this speaker mostly while its plugged in. But nonetheless if you’re trying to decide between either of these speakers lets see which ones right for you.
