So the Skullcandy Hesh ANC are a decent pair of entry level ANC headphones that block out an impressive amount of noise and the Skullcandy Crusher Evo are a pair of fun headphones cause they have a lot of bass. But now we have the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2’s and these have both active noise cancellation and a lot of bass… but are they worth the upgrade? Lets find out.
So the new skullcandy crusher ANC 2’s have a longer lasting battery life and a built in voice assistant. But more importantly, these headphones have a lot of bass to them… like too much bass. But then there are also the Sony WH-XB910N’s which also have a lot of bass… but not as much as the Skullcandy… but more importantly, these can actually be used as a pair of daily driver headphones. Where as I feel the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2’s are better suited as a pair of secondary headphones. Nonetheless, today we’re going to compare the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2’s to the Sony WH-XB910N and we’re going to see which ones are right for you.
So these are the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2… and if you’re a bass head these are going to more than satisfy you, cause they have a lot of bass… and if this is your first time getting a pair of Crushers from skullcandy… then you’re in for a big surprise. So the Skullcandy Terrain XL is the largest speaker in skullcandy’s line up right now. Now in general skullcandy’s speakers are packed with features and they are very affordable… but they don’t sound amazing. Last year they released the Crusher ANC’s which added active noise cancelation and an ambient mode to these headphones and this year they’ve released the Crusher Evo’s which I feel has better build quality than the more premium Crusher ANC’s but at a more affordable price. The new Skullcandy Crusher ANC’s are perhaps the most fun headphones ever… and I think that if you have last year’s Crusher 360’s I do think its worth upgrading. But even though the Crusher ANC’s are more versatile than the Crusher 360’s, they do have their quirks. Quirks that just aren’t acceptable for a pair of $320 ANC headphones.
